Help & FAQs

How long does an eye test take?

A full eye test runs around 30 minutes. We will check your vision, screen for common conditions, and discuss your lifestyle. If you need new lenses we will help you choose frames after the test — allow another 20 minutes for that.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely. Most stores have a play area, and we offer free children’s eye tests for under-16s. We recommend booking a slot for each child rather than a family slot — it gives the optometrist time with each one.

How do I cancel an appointment?

Use the manage your appointments page with the confirmation number from your booking email. If you have lost the email, call your store and we will look it up by name and date of birth.

What is BlueGuard?

A lens coating that filters blue light from phones and computer screens. If you work at a desk all day or notice eye strain in the evening, BlueGuard helps. It is an optional upgrade on any frame.

What is DriveSafe?

A lens optimized for low-light driving — reduces glare from oncoming headlights, sharpens contrast in dusk and rain. Particularly popular with long-distance commuters and night-shift workers.

Do you accept VSP / NHS vouchers?

Yes. We accept NHS GOS vouchers (England and Scotland), VSP, and most major UK employer vision benefit schemes. Bring your voucher to your appointment — we will handle the paperwork.

Do you offer 2-for-1 on glasses?

Most frames are eligible for our 2-for-1 offer — second pair from the same price band or below, free. The offer applies to standard single-vision lenses; lens upgrades (varifocal, BlueGuard, DriveSafe) are extra.

Can I order contact lenses online?

Yes — once you have had a contact lens fitting at one of our stores, you can re-order online with free delivery. New to contacts? Book a fitting (free for first-time wearers) at your nearest store.
